Since I currently do not have a piano in my apartment, most of the practice of my solos for South pacific was done accompanying myself with my classical nylon strung acoustic guitar.
Regarding my first guitar, you know, I don't really remember what brand name it was, but, it was a steel string flat-top guitar, I do believe and better yet, a gift from my dad (I love you dad), who while yet in Indiana, USA had it shipped to me in Puerto Rico where I lived with my mother, Rosa, and my brother, William. I was 9 years old at the time. There, on the island of enchantment (isla del encanto) we carried on under mother's protection, nearby her relatives, until dad was able to rejoin us thanks to the approval of his job transfer application. Thank you very much, Mr. Timothy Kent Lawson Jones, my wonderful dad, for such an appropriate gift for me. I have not stopped playing the guitar yet, can't see how or why I ever would stop playing it.-tkl
